Dr Dawn Bearden is a multi-faceted South Florida entrepreneur. She owns and operates 3 Optometric Offices in Broward county (next to Lenscrafters and Pearle Vision), has taught classes in Optometry at Nova Southeastern University, Manages her own Real Estate Investment Company and also Teaches Courses in Social Media Marketing. To pursue her lifelong passion for photography – she also attended The Art Institute of Ft Lauderdale – specializing in women and children photography.

Dawn is a “real life” business owner and has experienced the turbulence of the recent economy. When the recession negatively impacted her Optometry offices – she knew that it was time to do a lot of marketing! But, when there is less business, there is less money to market! Ahh, the infamous Catch-22!! Thus she turned to social media to create a massive online presence for her offices. Social Media is FREE and POWERFUL (when used correctly). She was recently awarded a leadership award from Lenscrafters for her powerful use of the internet and social media to educate and thus, market to her current and future local patients and gain a worldwide presence in the Optometric field.

Dr Bearden is NOT a “computer nerd techie” that teaches social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Blogging, Linkedin etc..). She is a local business owner that uses social media to educate people about the importance of eye care. This has created “Expert Status” for herself and her offices – which in turn -gains a massive online presence and FREE marketing exposure. Dawn also has an uncanny ability and love for teaching – using simple analogies for seemingly overwhelming topics like social media and eye health care.
