As Scion, Truck and Hybrid operations manager for Southeast Toyota Distributors, LLC (SET), Michael Kennedy is responsible for educating dealership associates on the products and unique selling processes. He also develops sales strategies and manages dealer communications. Michael joined SET in 2000 as retail, research and development manager and also held the positions of car marketing manager and retail development district manager. Before joining SET, he held management positions with AutoNation, Office Depot and Wal-Mart.

Michael graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Purchasing. He is a private pilot, devotes time as a mentor for at-risk children through the Take Stock in Children program and is chairman of Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) at Broward Community College in Davie, Fla. Born in Detroit, Mich., and raised in the Out Island Bahamas, Michael and his wife Frances, currently reside in Lake Worth, Fla. with their two children.
